The Captain’s Log TV with host Capt. Jonathan Moss

SWC is a proud sponsor of the Captain’s Log TV with our friend and host Capt. Jonathan Moss! Capt Moss is a native Floridian and has been fishing the waterways of Florida since the age of 3 years old. Throughout his childhood, he dreamed of exploring the unique and vast estuaries offered in the state of Florida, the United States, and beyond. To this day, Capt. Jonathan can be found adventuring new waters: backcountry sweet water creeks in for trophy Largemouth Bass, poling the flats in search of tailing Redfish or deep dropping in 1800 feet of water for Swordfish, Captain Jonathan has a passion to not only catch fish but to guide and educate anglers along the way.

We met Captain Moss years ago and built a friendship over time. He’s one of the most genuine, down to earth, good-hearted guys you will ever meet. It’s been exciting to see his evolution from teaching to being a full-time guide, husband, proud father, and now the host of the Captain Log!

Recently on the 6th episode of the Captain’s Log titled “In Clear View” Capt Moss met up with Capt Court Douthit Recreation Specialist and our Founder Vince Stegura to fish both beachside and inshore!

Following the release of “The Clear View” we caught up with the guys to ask a few follow up questions.

Question 1: What is your favorite part about filming/hosting the Captain’s Log?

Capt Moss: The interaction with guests! I love fishing and I love fishing with my friends. There’s no pressure, it’s all about just having a good time.

Question 2: What did you like about fishing with Court & Vince?

Capt Moss: Court and Vince are some of the most fun-loving, easy-going genuine guys you’ll ever meet! And let’s not forget to mention how fishy those dudes are too! So when the opportunity to head to the gulf coast and fish with them came up, it was a no brainer! I might have also had a little beard envy too!

Question 3: If you could hang out again together doing any activity what would it be?

Capt Moss: The next time we’re together, I hope to have all of our families with us! We’ll totally bring the Traeger to the island and do some grilling and chilling!

Question 1: What did you enjoy most while fishing with Capt Moss?

Vince Stegura: His enthusiasm and positivity are unmatched. When fishing seems to slow down, he maintains the vibe that it’s gonna turn back around any second and that the kinda person I like fishing with.

Question 2: What do you like about Captain’s Log?

Vince Stegura: What I like most about the show is Jonathon’s way of exhibiting what kind of fisherman he is. He is naturally a fishy guy, and the show portrays that well.

Question 3: What would you like to with Jonathan in a future episode?

Vince Stegura: I would love to see some more fly rod action!

Question 1: Court what did you enjoy most while fishing with Capt Moss?

Capt Court: One of my favorite things about Fishing w Capt JM was that his online personality is exactly like he is on a personal basis. He is constantly positive, has fun, and an all-around great guy. He loves to fish and it shows when spending a day on the water with him.

Question 2: What do you like about Captain’s Log?

Capt Court: My favorite thing about captains log has to be watching Jonathan exploring areas other than his own with a list of great guides. I also really enjoyed that the footage of him and his father. It is so cool to have that kind of relationship and get to document it.

Question 3: What would you like to with Jonathan in a future episode?

Capt Court: I would love to have an opportunity to do a nighttime or offshore fly fishing trip with Jonathan in the future. I just want to see Jonathan with a fly rod and his hand more often.

We hope you all enjoyed the episode 6 teaser and catching up with Capt Moss and Capt Court! Make sure you check out the full episode along with all of the awesome episodes of the Captain’s Log on WaypointTV or Amazon Prime! You can catch new episodes on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
