How Shirts Fit

At Skinny Water Culture we have a few different cuts of shirts. We learned in the first few years our customers like that we use top quality materials, but its hard to know what material, or cut we decided to use for a particular shirt from the confides of your home, while ordering over the internet. So we decided to come up with names for the different shirts we offer. So once you know you love a "Native" shirt, or a "Brackish" shirt, you will consistently get the same fabric and fit every time. Below are the various styles we currently offer.

Tees

The Native - The Native shirts are 100% soft ringspun cotton. They tend to hold up well in the wash with minimal shrinkage, and get softer over time. They are the new version of the classic heavyweight shirt that you grew up wearing. Same principle, but an updated cut that is slightly longer, and better fitting than the heavyweight shirts of the past that tended to be short and boxy. We like the shirts we grew up in, we just never liked the way they fit. We fixed what was wrong and kept what was right. This is a shirt anyone can be comfortable in, and once you try our Native shirts, we are sure you'll be back. Fits very true to size.

The Brackish - The Brackish shirts are a 60% blend of polyester and 40% blend of cotton. It's a blend, thus the term Brackish came to mind. The Brackish shirts are a slightly more modern fit. They have a very soft, thin, vintage feel that will fit you like your favorite pair of jeans. It will breathe very well, and actually wick moisture away from the body, while maintaining the feel of cotton jersey. The Brackish shirts are also slightly longer than your average tee shirt and have a very subtle slimming effect on your body when worn. Yes! they make you look better than you actually are! Pretty cool huh? Fits slightly slimmer so if you like your shirts loose, order a size up.

Microfiber Tees

The Caladesi Micro - Caladesi Micro shirts are 100% moisture wicking microfiber polyester. With a current sun protection rating of 30UPF, it's amazing how breezy and thin these shirts are, while remaining super durable. The Caladesi Micro shirts are what we use for our artists to express themselves to their fullest on a performance shirt. The graphics are primarily larger, and dye sublimated so there is no clogging of the porous fabric. Rather than adding a layer of ink "on top" of the fabric, we dye the design right into the shirt. There is no hand feel at all on the graphic, and the dexterity of the performance is not sacrificed.The Caladesi Micro's have a slightly slender, longer fit, so if you prefer a looser fit, please order one size larger.

The Drifter Micro - The Drifter Micro is also 100% moisture wicking microfiber polyester. It also has a sun protection rating of 30UPF, and is also a very breezy, cool to the touch feeling shirt. We use the Drifter Micro's to offer a much more understated logo design, that can be offered on a variety of vibrant colors. The art is usually screen-printed, but is so minimal it doesn't sacrifice performance. These shirts opt for color while remaining understated. The Drifter Micro's fit is pretty true to size, but if you are stuck between two sizes we recommend going up a size for a better fit. We feel microfiber fishing shirts should never leave people the impression you are trying to let everyone know how ripped you are, Get it? That's not our thing.
